Pizza Worth the Trip to Sonoma
Sonoma Pizza makes one thing and makes it well — Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza with the best ingredients Sonoma County has to offer. Our dough ferments for 72 hours, our mozzarella is pulled fresh each morning, and our wood-fired oven reaches 900 degrees to produce a pizza with a blistered, chewy crust and a perfectly charred underside in under 90 seconds.
The Pizzas
Classic
- Margherita — San Marzano tomato sauce, house-made fior di latte, fresh basil, Sonoma olive oil
- Marinara — San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, oregano, olive oil — no cheese, all flavor
- Pepperoni — House-made cup-and-char pepperoni with whole milk mozzarella
Sonoma Specials
- The Rancher — Prosciutto from a Petaluma salumeria, arugula, shaved Parmigiano, lemon
- Wild Mushroom — Foraged chanterelles and oyster mushrooms, fontina, thyme, truffle oil
- Fig and Goat — Black Mission figs, local chèvre, caramelized onions, honey drizzle
- Sausage and Pepper — Sonoma County Italian sausage, roasted peppers, provolone, chili flake
Seasonal
We run a seasonal pizza that changes monthly, built around what's freshest at the market. Past favorites include heirloom tomato with burrata, spring pea and pancetta, and roasted squash with brown butter and sage.
Sides & Salads
- Caesar — Crisp romaine, anchovy dressing, garlic croutons, Parmigiano
- Arugula salad — Shaved fennel, citrus vinaigrette, toasted almonds
- Garlic knots — Baked in the wood oven, brushed with garlic butter and herbs
- Tiramisu — Classic preparation, made in-house
Drinks
Our wine list features Sonoma County producers by the glass and bottle. We also pour local craft beers and house-made sodas for the kids (and adults who prefer bubbles without alcohol).
The Oven
Our custom-built wood-fired oven is the heart of the restaurant. Fueled by California white oak, it reaches the extreme temperatures needed to cook a true Neapolitan pizza — hot enough to blister the crust while keeping the center soft and the toppings just kissed by heat. Each pizza takes less than two minutes from oven to table.
Hours & Location
Sonoma Pizza is located on the west side of the Sonoma Plaza. We're open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. No reservations — walk in, grab a seat, and eat pizza the way it's meant to be eaten.
The best pizza in wine country. No argument.
